LYAPINA, Nafisa Kabirovna (b.15.12.1933 in Derevnya Sakhaevo of Karmaskalinsky Raion of the BASSR), Petrochemist. Associate Member of the AS RB (1995), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1983), Full Professor (1986). Merited Master of Sciences of the BASSR (1976). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1981), the 2nd Class Order for Merits to the Fatherland (1999). After graduating from the UPI (1955), she worked at the Novo‑Ufimsky Refinery. Since 1956 in the Chemistry Department of the Bashkir Branch of AS USSR, since 1961 in the Institute of Organic Chemistry. The scientific career is dedicated to the study of the structure and properties of organic sulfur compounds of natural hydrocarbons. L. was the first to reveal the presence of sulfoxides and sulfones in oil and gas condensates, 50 (for the first time, 40) cyclic sulfides and 36 (for the first time, 21) benzo- and dibenzothiophenes were identified in the oil of Ilishevsky deposit (the RB). The process of regeneration of sulfide‑alkaline wastewaters of oil- and gas processing plants has been developed.
