MANSUROV, Gizyar Akhtyamovich (4.2.1930, Derevnya Bashkirskiye Termy of Ufimsky Сanton of the BASSR, now Derevnya Bashterma of Blagovarsky Raion of the RB, – 11.5.2013, Ufa), Breeder. Dr.Sci (Agriculture) (1999). Merited Master of Sciences of the BASSR (1980), Merited Inventor of the USSR (1981). Graduated from the Horticultural Institute named after I.V.Michurin (Michurinsk, 1952). Since 1955, he worked at the Sterlitamak Experimental Field (since 1958 as Dir.). Since 1959 at the Bashkir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture, between 1992–2003 at the Botanical Garden‑Institute, since 2000 at BSAU. Scientific studies are dedicated to breeding of fruit and berry crops, including column‑shaped forms of apple tree, development of intensive horticulture technology in the conditions of Bashkortostan. Author of the varieties of pear, currant and apple tree.
