MASLOV, Vladimir Petrovich (14.4.1925, Posyolok Durasovskoye Tovarishchestvo of Belebeyevsky Canton of the BASSR, now Derevnya Durasovo of Belebeyevsky Raion of the RB, – 24.9.1988, Moscow), Military Leader. Admiral (1975). Awarded with the Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, the 1st Class Order of the Patriotic War, Order of the Red Star, the 3rd Class Order for Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Frunze’ Higher Military School (Leningrad, 1950), General Staff Academy of the USSR Armed Forces (Moscow, 1966). In the Soviet Army since 1942. Since 1951 Commander of the C‑155 Submarine, since 1958 Chief of Division Staff, since 1961 Commander of Submarine Division of the Northern Fleet, since 1968 1st Deputy Commander, since 1974 Commander of the Pacific Fleet. Since 1980 the Representative of the Headquarters of the United Armed Forces of the Warsaw Pact in the GDR fleet; between 1984–85 served under the authority of the Russian Naval Commander. Deputy of the 9th Session of the RSFSR Supreme Council.
