Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1998), Merited Physical Culture Professional of the RF and RB (both – 2006). A trainee of the Salavat Yulayev Sports Club (Coaches: G.I.Alekseyev, G.A.Ushkov). The World Road Running (1986, 1988) and Cross (1988) Champion, Winner of the Cross‑Country Running European Cup (1993), Silver (1985, 1987, 1990) and Bronze (1991) Medalist of the World Road Running Championship, Silver Medalist of the World Cup (1986) in the relay, Champion of the World Military Cross Country Singles Championship (1993); the Brothers Znamensky Memorial Track and Field International 5,000 m Race Competition Winner (1986, 1992). Participant of the Olympic Games (1988, 1992). Member of the National Team (1984–93).
