MASHKIN, Fyodor Ivanovich

MASHKIN, Fyodor Ivanovich [19.2.1930, Derevnya Shestopalovka of Belebeyevsky Canton of the BASSR (Davlekanovsky Raion of the RB) – 6.3.2002, Sterlitamak], Soviet Statesman and Active Party Member. Hero of Socialist Labour (1981). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1973, 1981), Order of the October Revolution (1976), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1966, 1971). After graduating from the BAI (1952), he worked at Shemyak Sovkhoz in Ufimsky Raion. Since 1953 at the Ministry of Agriculture and Procurement of the BASSR, since 1954 at the Bashkir Obl. Committee of All‑Union Leninist Young Communists League, since 1956 – at the Bashkir Obl. Committee of the CPSU. Since 1962 Head of Sterlitamak Territorial Production Kolkhoz‑Sovkhoz Administration, between 1965–91 1st Secretary of the Sterlitamak Raion Committee of the CPSU. Under the leadership of M., production of grain in Sterlitamaksky Raion grew by 42%, sunflower (seeds) – by 25%, potatoes – 30%, vegetables – 96% (1976–80). Deputy of the 6–11th Sessions of the Supreme Council of the BASSR and of the 12th Session of the Supreme Council. A monument to M. was erected in Selo Roshchinsky of Sterlitamaksky Raion.
