MAVLYUTOV INSTITUTE OF MECHANICS
MAVLYUTOV INSTITUTE OF MECHANICS, a stand‑alone structural unit of the Ufa Federal Research Centre, of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UFRC RAS). Located in Ufa. Established in 1992. Main activities: hydrodynamics of dispersed and thermoviscous media with physical and chemical transformations, energy accumulation in bubbles and bubble clusters; wave processes in multi-phase media; dynamics of interaction between structures and working fluids; reverse spectral problems and acoustic diagnostics; mechatronic systems control. The scientists of the Institute have determined scientific principles for obtaining temperature and pressure values corresponding to initiation of nuclear reactions through accumulation of vapour bubbles in deuterated organic liquids; discovered the effect of “dynamic blocking” when dispersed fluids flow in micro‑channels and complex capillary structures; studied flow behaviour of liquids with a non‑monotonous dependence of viscosity on temperature; made a classification of liquid and gas sub‑models; developed mathematical models for diagnostics of parameters and fixation type of structures, prospective micro-mechanical devices with an intellectual control system, etc. They have implemented software for calculation of stress‑strain behaviour of drilling strings in the construction of submerged crossings by method of directional drilling; a software package for determination of energy saving operating modes of trunk pipelines for oil, petroleum products, etc. More than 40 invention patents have been obtained.
