MINGAZHEV, Gimaletdin Mingazhevich [21.5.1889, Derevnya Idrisovo of Zlatoustovsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub. (Kiginsky Raion of the RB) — 19.9.1955, Ufa], Actor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1949) and the BASSR (1935), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1944). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1949), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1944, 1955). Since 1918, he worked in the amateur drama groups of Zlatoust, since 1922 — in various troupes of Ufa, since 1924 — at BSAT. He was an actor of great dramatic talent, with equal skill and emotional power he played about 400 roles. He created an original image of Yulay Aznalin in several plays of the Bashkir Drama Theatre, in Salavat Yulayev motion picture (Soyuzdetfilm Film Studio, 1941). The author of a number of plays.
