YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS AND MOVEMENTS. Youth organizations (Y.o.) – public associations of citizens under the age of 14—30 years. Y.o shall implement joint activities stated in the charter (regulation) on common goals. They also have a fixed membership. Youth movements (Y.m.) unites large groups of young people, sometimes from several countries (international Y.m.). Y.m. have no fixed membership. They pursue social, polit. and other socially useful goals supported by their participants and fixed in their charters (regulations). Until early 1990s, the Y.o. in Bashkortostan were represented by the All‑Union Pioneer Organization (ref. Chil­dren’s organizations) and the All‑Union Leninist Young Communists League. The RB has the following Y.o.: Pioneers of Bashkortostan, Aysyek — Ufa (the RB students Y.o.), Cultural Heritage of Bashkortostan, Club of the Funny and Inventive People of Ufa, League of Youth Policy; region. department of the All‑Russia youth public organizations such as Russian Union of Young Scientists, Young Guard of the United Russia Political Party, Russian Student Squads, etc. The Y.m. include the Vmyestye (Together) republican youth volunteer movement, etc.
