MICHURIN, Veniamin Nikolayevich (b.7.4.1965 in Pabochy Posyolok Krasnousolsky of Gafuriysky Raion of the BASSR), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (judo) of Russia (1999). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1995). Awarded with the 2nd Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2002), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2000). A trainee of the All‑Russia Society of the Blind, the Training and Manufacturing Entity (Ufa; Coaches: V.A.Pegov, S.A.Tarasov). Silver (1992, 2000) and Bronze (1996) Medalist of the Paralympic Games. The World (1990, 1993, 1995) and European (1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001) Singles Champion; European Champion (2001), Silver Medalist of the European Championships (1995, 1997), Bronze Medalist of the World Team Championship for Blind and Visually‑Impaired Athletes (2002). Member of the National Team (1990–2006).
