PERENNIAL GRASSES
PERENNIAL GRASSES, a group of grasses of Poaceae and Fabaceae families, growing in one location for a number of years. Fabaceae perennial grasses are represented by clover, medick, esparcet, galega, etc. The cereal perennial grasses include quack grass, brome, meadow grass, foxtail, fescue, timothy, wheat grass, etc. P.g. are used for the preparation of various fodder types: hay, haylage, silage, vitaminous flour, as well as for creation of long‑term cultural pastures. The meadow herd grass (Iglinskaya Local Variety), smooth brome (Bashkir Local, Yubileyny, Sverdlovsky 38, etc), grey wheat‑grass (Rostovsky 31, Ufimets), kozlyatnik (Gale, Gornoaltaysky 87), medick (Chishminskaya 131, Sarga, Uralochka, etc), esparcet (Peschany 22, Orenburgsky, Petushok, etc), meadow clover (Birsky Local, Ufimsky 1, Early 2) are allowed for use in the RB.
