MOTOR Production and Scientific Enterprise, AO (Ufa). It designs, develops and introduces into production the aviation gas turbine engines for fighter and assault aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles, ground gas‑turbine powerplants, revamps power equipment for TPPs and boiler houses based on aviation technologies. Founded in 1955 as Development and Engineering Department No.26 of the Ministry of Aviation Industry of the USSR, since 1956 Organization PO No.100, since 1966 Soyuz Ufa Machine‑Building Design Bureau, since 1975 Development and Engineering Department at UEP, since 1982 Ufa Design Bureau of Machine‑Building, since 1989 NPO M., since 1991 has its current name. M. developed more than 70 types of aircraft engines and their upgrades. It manufactured more than 16,000 engines: R13‑300, R13F‑300, and R25‑300 for MiG‑21 and Su‑15 fighters; R95Sh and R195 for Su‑25 and Su‑39 assault aircrafts, as well as KR17‑300 and KR21‑300 cruise engines for the cruise missiles of sea‑based missile weapon complexes Bazalt and Granit; fan modules with high specific parameters for RD‑33, AL‑41F, AL‑55I engines. Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1984).
