MUSEUM OF MILITARY GLORY
MUSEUM OF MILITARY GLORY, a Republican museum. Located in Ufa. Founded in 2000 to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Has a branch – Museum of the 112th (16th Guards) Bashkir Cavalry Division (ref. Hundred and Twelfth Bashkir Cavalry Division). In the collections of the Museum, there are more than 10 thous. exposition units, incl. the photogrammeter‑decryptor reference book (1943), the map of Europe (1940), the Red Army General Staff map, battle front letters, military awards, weapons, military uniforms, photographic and doc. materials about war participants and home front workers. There are dioramas Fight at the Village of Panshino, Guarding the Moscow Sky, Farewell to the Battle Front and The Wall of the Reichstag (dedicated to G.K.Zagitov). The museum hosts inter‑museum contests, children’s arts competitions, thematic lectures, meetings with veterans, and scientific and practical conferences.
