MIFTAKHOV, Mansur Sagaryarovich (b.23.7.1947 in Derevnya Bogdanovo of Miyakinsky Raion of the BASSR), Chemist. Acad. of the AS RB (2018), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1988), Full Professor (1991). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (2007), and RB (1994). Laureate of the RF State Award in field of Science and Technology (1992). Graduated from the BSU (1970). Since 1972, he has been working at the IOC. Scientific research is dedicated to the complete synthesis of prostaglandins, prostacyclins, thromboxanes, levuglandins, leukotrienes, etc, and their analogues. M. developed methods for the synthesis of carbocyclic neuraminidase inhibitors, macrolides epothilones of anti‑cancer effect, highly active drugs against hepatitis B virus entecavir carbonucleosides; proposed gastroprotective prostaglandin — 11‑deoxyimisoprostol.
