MUSLIMOV, Pavel Ilyich (b.15.6.1967 in Ufa), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (biathlon) of Russia (1996). Awarded with the 2nd Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (1998). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1994). A trainee of the Gastello Sports Club (Coach – P.K.Yamaleyev). Bronze Medalist of the Olympic Games (1998), European Champion (1994), Silver (1999) and Bronze (2000) Medalist of the European Championships in relay; the Race Singles Champion and Silver Medalist in relay of the World Student Games (both – 1993), Silver Medalist of the Biathlon World Championships in sprint (1995) and team race (1996). Champion of the Cross‑Country Skiing World Student Games (1993) in relay. Member of the National Team (1991–2000). Between 2001–06 Head of the Biathlon Sports Centre, since 2010 – Republican Specialist Children and Youth Sports Modern Pentathlon School of the Olympic Reserve, since 2012 Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the RB.
