MUKHAMETOVA, Gaynush Minigaysovna (25.11.1913, Derevnya N.‑Kargaly of Belebeyevsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub., now Derevnya Nizhniye Kargaly of Blagovarsky Raion of the RB, — 29.3.1989, Ufa), Occupational Pathologist. Dr.Sci (Medical Sciences) (1968), Full Professor (1969). Merited Doctor of the BASSR (1957), Excellent Worker of Public Health of the USSR (1949), Excellent Worker of Oil Processing and Petrochemical Industry of the USSR (1972). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1976), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1966, 1970). Graduated from the Kazan Medical Institute (1934). Since 1941 in Ufa: since 1942 Head Doctor of Hospital No.5, since 1943 at the municipal healthcare division, since 1946 Head Doctor of Central Clinical Hospital, between 1947–50 Deputy Minister, between 1954–57 Main Therapist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the BASSR, between 1950–54 Head Doctor of Republican Clinical Hospital of Occupational Diseases. Since 1957 at the Ufa RI of Labour Hygiene and Occupational Diseases (until 1979 as Dir.). Her scientific research is dedicated to issues of occupational diseases and industrial toxicology, study of adaptation mechanisms during body exposure to industrial toxins suffered by workers of oil, petrochemical industry and chemical industries.
