NATIONAL LITERARY MUSEUM OF THE RB

NATIONAL LITERARY MUSEUM OF THE RB. Located in Ufa. Founded in 1996 as the Literary Museum of the RB. Since 2002, the current name. It has 5 branches, incl. M.Akmulla Museum, Sh.Babich Museum, M.Gafuri Memorial House, A.Mubaryakov Museum and M.Umetbayev Museum. In the collections of the Museum, there are more than 8 thous. exposition units, incl. manuscripts, books, awards, photos and doc. materials, personal belongings, typewriters, portraits of Bashkortostan writers (including natives), illustrations for Akmulla, Gafuri et al. works, Shezhere of the Babichev, Umetbayev, etc clans. The museum publishes booklets, postcards and method books. The museum holds Republican competitions, dedicated to significant events, meetings with writers, literary and mus. soirees; organizes scientific expeditions and traveling exhibitions in the rural areas of the RB and on the territory of the RF.
