PETROCHEMISTRY AND CATALYSIS INSTITUTE of RAS. Located in Ufa. Established in 1992. Main activities: fundamental and applied research in the sphere of homogeneous, heterogeneous and metal‑complex catalysis, petrochemical, organic and metal‑organic synthesis, physical chemistry, and mechanisms of catalytic reactions. Scientists have invented and adopted alkylphenols‑obtaining technologies for the production of vitamins, petroleum sulphides, sulphoxides, sulphones, sorbents and extraction agents for the recovery and separation of heavy and noble metals, the treatment of hazardous waste gases from industrial facilities, effective agents for agriculture and medicine, new nano‑scale materials and other products with advanced characteristics. They have obtained more than 700 patents for inventions (more than 30 inventions implemented).
