NIGMADZHANOV, Gilman Vildanovich (22.3.1911, Derevnya Tokmakly of Sterlitamaksky Uyezd of Ufa Gub., now Derevnya Tukmakly of Arkhangelsky Raion of the RB, – 18.6.1989, Ufa), Statesman. Candidate of Economics (1950). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1949), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1944, 1971), Order of the Badge of Honour (1957, 1966). Graduated from the Kuibyshev Planning Institute (1935). Since 1938 Deputy Chairman, since 1941 and between 1952–58 Chairman of the BASSR State Plan. Since 1942, Deputy Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars. Since 1946, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the BASSR. Since 1950, Head of Department at Ufa Research Institute of Petroleum Industry. Between 1958–72, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the BASSR. He made a significant contribution to the development of RB infrastructure.
