NUGAYEV, Rais Yanfurovich (b.15.5.1931 in Ufa), Mining Engineer. Associate Member of the AS RB (1991), Dr. of Engineering (1989), Full Professor (1992). Merited Oil Worker of the BASSR (1976), Expert of the USSR Oil Industry (1991), Merited Oil Worker of the USSR (1991). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1984). On graduation from the UPI (1954) he worked at Bashneft Company, since 1968 as Dir. of the Eastern Research Institute (RI) for occupational safety and sanitary, since 1992 – of the RI of Applied Ecology in Oil Industry, since 1994 – of the Environmental Science and Tech. Association of the AS RB; at the same time in 1990–2010 at USPTU. Since 2012 he works at the Institute for Metal Superplasticity Problems. His research activity is dedicated to oil and gas production equipment and technology. N. has developed technologies of simult. separate oil extraction from two reservoirs through one well, oil field facilities safety assurance methods, devices for oil well exploration through the casing annulus, production tubing waxing prevention methods implemented at oil fields of the RF and CIS countries.
