NUGUSH RESERVOIR

NUGUSH RESERVOIR, on the Nugush River. The dam site is located in the territory of Bashkiriya National Park. Built in 1967. Catchment area of the river in the cross‑section of the water development — 2,827 km², aver. annual volume of inflow — 1,041 million m³, full volume — 400 million m³; surface area — 25 km², aver. length — 10 km, aver. width — 1 km, aver. depth — 16 m. Composition of the water development: earth‑fill dam (length — 2,187 m, crest width — 7 m, max. height — 31 m); water intake (4 spans) with flood discharge (length — 1,311.0 m, width — 75.5 m); bottom water discharge with reservoired power station; diverting channel (length — 750 m, width — 18 m).
