NURGALIN, Zinnur Akhmadiyevich [4.10.1928, Derevnya Tashbulatovo of Tamyan‑Kataysky Canton of the BASSR (now Abzelilovsky Raion of the RB) — 10.6.2020, Ufa], Literary and Theatrical Critic, Publicist. Merited Academician of the AS RB (2002). Candidate of Historical Sciences (1968), Doctor of Science (Philological, 1984) and Full Professor (1985). Member of the Union of Journalists of the RB and the Union of Writers of the RB. Merited Scientist of the BASSR (1978). Studied at Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk Pedagogical Institutes (1950–55). Graduated from the Ufa Higher Party School (1959), Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU (Moscow, 1968). Between 1953–55 and 1959–65, worked in the Soviet Bashkortostan newspaper (Ufa), between 1968—2019 – at USIA (between 1988—2000 Rector). Scientific work is dedicated to the theoretical aspects of the history of the Bashkir literature, the development of the Bashkir traditional mus. art, the inter‑communication between the Bashkir culture and other ethnic cultures of Eurasia. A number of works are dedicated to the issues of the modern state and literary Bashkir language, and theatre. Author of the following books: Breath of Epoches (2003), Truth Is Sprout in Discussion (2008), etc.
