OLIMPIYA
OLIMPIYA, a cave, a natural monument (1985). Located on the right bank of the Khazhinovskaya Shida River (tributary of the Seleuk River), 5 km SE of Derevnya Khazinovo of Ishimbaysky Raion. It is an inclined horizontal cave with wells. Length – 1,380 m, depth – 122 m, aver. width – 8.1 m, aver. height – 14 m, area – 10,300 m2, volume – 106,600 m3. The entrance is 120 m above the level of Khazhinovskaya Shida. A gallery runs from the entrance, from which corridors run. A stream flows in one of them, disappearing after 60 m in the system of slit wells 50 m deep. The corridor narrows towards the end. The floor is covered with clay, sand, crushed stone; calcite covers are in evidence. In spring, the entrance is covered with ice stalactites and stalagmites. Temperature in the cave in summer is 6°C.
