MONUMENTS TO SALAVAT YULAYEV
MONUMENTS TO SALAVAT YULAYEV, the monuments of monumental art. The first monument to Salavat Yulayev in Bashkortostan was created in 1952 to the design of T.P.Nechayeva; architect — N.I.Ozernaya. It is located in Selo Maloyaz of Salavatsky Raion in the territory of the Museum of Salavat Yulaev. The monument consists of a pedestal and a bronze bust.
Similar monuments of the same author were erected in 1952 in the Garden named after Salavat Yulayev in Ufa (in 1969, it was dismantled; in 1998, after restoration it was installed in the territory of the Yangan-Tau Health Resort), in 1967 — in the town of Salavat in the Park named after Salavat Yulayev. A monument to Salavat Yulayev is located in Ufa on the bank of the Belaya River (the crossing of Zaki Validi Street and M.Gafuri Street). It was created to the design of sculptor S.D.Tavasiyev; architect – I.G.Gainutdinov; opened in 1967. The monument consists of a granite pedestal (10 m) and an equestrian statue (9.6 m) made of cast iron. The plastic of the equestrian statue is full of dynamics: Salavat, half-risen in stirrups and with a raised hand holding a whip–kamcha, abruptly reined back his horse, making it squat on its hind legs; the expressive profile of Salavat Yulayev, his strong body, the musculature of the horse are conveyed in detail and with utmost accuracy. A monument to Salavat Yulayev is located at the entrance to the town of Salavat. It was created to the design of sculptor A.V.Semchenko, architect Yu.M.Brilliantov; erected in 1988. The composition of the monument includes a reinforced concrete pylon (12 m), ending with a stylized image of a bird and a sculpture of Salavat Yulayev (3 m), rapidly racing on a horse. A monument to Salavat Yulayev is located in the town of Paldiski (Estonia). It was created to the design of T.P.Nechayeva; architect — Andris Myand; opened in 1989. The composition of the monument includes a pedestal of granite (1.58 m) and a bust of forged copper (1.3 m). A monument to Salavat Yulayev is located in Ufa in front of the building of the State Assembly — Kurultai of the RB (Zaki Validi str. 40). It was created to the design of Kh.M.Khabibrakhmanov; opened in 2000. The composition includes a pedestal made of natural stone (1 m) and a figure made of forged copper (2.9 m).
