PARK NAMED AFTER I.S.YAKUTOV. Created in 1903 in Ufa (65/3; Lenin street, area: 12 ha) on the initiative of the Ufa Police Chief G.G.Bukhartovsky on the site of the Park of People’s Sobriety as a square for popular recreation, from 1918 has born the name of I.S.Yakutov. In 1952, a monument was installed in the park to I.S.Yakutov. There was built a children’s railway named after the Hero of the Soviet Union V.P.Dobrorez. In 1967, a memorial complex was installed at the burial site of the Red Army soldiers (1918) with a dedication To the fallen heroes of the October revolution and the Civil war. In 1978, an indoor tennis court was built, and the Olympic Sports School specializing in tennis operates on the facility. In the second half of the 80s as well as in 2003 and 2017, the park was repeatedly reconstructed. On its territory, there are now the Soldatskoye Lake, the restaurant Quiet Harbor, a sports and entertainment complex The Jolly Roger, a slot machine pavilion, and various rides and game facilities. The park houses the Club of Young Railway Workers, and the Federation of Tempering and Winter Sports.
