PERVOMAYSKY

PERVOMAYSKY, spruce and fir forests of the Ufa Plateau, landscape wildlife reserve of area 1.7 thous. ha at the border of Nurimanovsky Raion of the RB and Chelyabinsk Oblast. It was organized to protect and study relict broadleaf and dark coniferous forests (1968). It is located in the south-east p. of the Ufa Plateau and partly in the foothills of Karatau Ridge. The Yamanelga River flows within the territory of P. The relief is dismembered by valleys, karst is developed. Landscapes are represented by sub-boreal broadleaf and dark coniferous forests formed in Pleistocene.
