POMYKALOV, Ildar Valeryevich (b.9.6. 1971 in Ufa), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (athletics) of Russia (2000). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1997). Awarded with the Order of Honour (2006), Order of Friendship (2002), Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2000), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2008), the 2nd Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2009). A trainee of the Spartak Voluntary Sports Society, the Highest Sports Skill Training Centre of the RB (Coach – P.Z.Buylov). Champion (2000, 2004) and Bronze Medalist (1996, 2008) of the Paralympic Games; the World Champion (1994, 1998, 2002) and Europe Champion (1999, 2001, 2003) in 10 km run and marathon, Silver (1994, 2006) and Bronze (1994) Medalist of the World Championships, multiple Silver and Bronze Medalist of the European Championships. Participant of the Paralympic Games (2012). Member of the Russian National Team (since 1993).
