PROGRESS Bashk. Production Group, OAO (Ufa). Produces communication equipment, plate heat exchangers, control and monitoring units, sets of electrical equipment for concrete pump trucks, etc. Founded in 1942 as State Union Plant No.697 based on the Long-distance Communication Shop of the Ufa branch of Krasnaya Zarya Plant (Leningrad), since 1946 State Union Plant p/ya No.210, since 1966 – Communications Equipment Plant, in 1982 – as a result of merger with Special design and production control   office   Rassvet   (1974),   Bashk. Production Group P. was founded. In 1982, P. was named after the 60th Anniversary of the USSR. Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1971).
