PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL NO.1

PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL NO.1, the leading republican specialized institution for provision of psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and social care to the population, as well as forensic research. It is also the instructional centre for the administration of psychiatric service of the republic, and the training centre for specialists concerned with issues of mental health protection. Located in Ufa. Founded in 1875. The hospital consists of the inpatient clinic with 1800 beds, as well as 26 treatment departments, including Psychosomatic Department, Outpatient Department, General Psychiatric Department, Children’s Phtisiological Department, Forensic Psychiatry Department, and others. There are also 11 outpatient follow-up psychoneurological departments. The hospital houses Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine Department of BSMU. In 2017, it had over 200 MDs and over 500 healthcare workers employed.
