RAKHMANKULOV, Dilyus Lutfullich (20.8.1939, Selo Novo‑Musino of Chkalov Obl. – 9.8.2008, Ufa), Organic Chemist. Acad. of the AS RB (1991), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1975), Full Professor (1976). Merited Master of Sciences and Technology of the BASSR (1980). After graduating from the UPI (1962) he worked at the Ufa Oil Technical College. Since 1968 at the USPTU (between 1977–86 as Vice‑Rector for Scientific Research), since 1991 Gen. Dir. of the Reactive State Engineering Center, simultaneously, Dir. of the Research Institute of Fine Organic Chemistry. Since 1993 at the NIIReactive of USPTU (since 2007 as Dir.). Scientific research is dedicated to the chemistry of acetals, chemistry and technology of low‑tonnage products and reagents. Between 1979–92 Chairman of the Board of the All‑Union Chemical Society named after D.I.Mendeleev. Founder and Chief Editor of The Bashkir Chemical Journal (1994–2008) and The History of Science and Technology journal (2004–08).
