RUTMAN, Grigory Iosifovich (22.2.1929, Mestechko Streshino of Belorussian SSR – 21.6.2001, Sterlitamak), Chemical Technologist. D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1983), Full Professor (1987). Merited Chemist of BASSR (1989), Inventor of the USSR (1976). Laureate of the USSR State Award (1978). Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1971, 1986), Order of the Badge of Honour (1971). After graduating from the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Chemical Technology (1951) he worked at Combine No.18 (Salavat). Since 1961 in Sterlitamak: Chief Mechanic of Synthetic Rubber Plant, since 1965 Dir. of Petrochemical Plant, since 1997 at the Sterlitamak State Pedagogical Institute. Research and industry activities are dedicated to the development of technology for products of lowtonnage chemistry, synthesis of polyisoprene, oligopiperylene, low molecular weight polyurethane synthetic rubbers, universal hardeners.
