SAYFULLIN, Tagir Sergeyevich (6.5. 1932, Derevnya Frolovo of Volgograd Obl. — 25.7.2007, Ufa), Choral Conductor, Teacher. People’s Artist of the RB (1995), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1978) and BASSR (1973). Awarded with the Order of the

Badge of Honour (1967). Graduated from the Saratov Conservatory (1963). Since 1969 — the Founder, Artistic Managing Dir. and the Chief Conductor (with a break), in 1999—2007 — a Conductor Consultant of the Chapel Choir of RB. In 1982—85 — a Lecturer at USIA, between 1986—89 — at Ufa School of Arts. The performing style of S. was distinguished by deep penetration into the artistic design of the composition and by the originality of interpretation. In classical works, he strived for the precision of performance, careful elaboration of details, he made changes and amendments to the compositions of modern Bashkir and Tatar composers, acting in the capacity of a bright interpreter.
