SALIGASKAROVA, Magafura Galiullovna (20.11.1921, Derevnya Iksanovo of Belebeyevsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub., now Selo Staroikhsanovo of Chekmagushevsky Raion of the RB, — 7.10.2015, Ufa), Singer (mezzo‑soprano). People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1957) and BASSR (1951), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1955) and BASSR (1949). Awarded with Order of the Badge of Honour (1949). Member of the Union of theatre workers of the BASSR. Since 1938, she worked as a Choir Singer, between 1942—72 — as a Soloist at Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre. One of the leading masters of the Bashk. opera performance. She possessed a strong mobile voice of wide range and phenomenal musical memory. Her performing art was distinguished by bright artistry, feeling and temperament. The first singer of the parts of Kyunbika (Salavat Yulayev), Narkes (Akbuzat), Yalanbika (Storm). Deputy of the 3rd Session of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR.
