CHILDREN’S HEALTH RETREAT CENTERS

CHILDREN’S HEALTH RETREAT CENTERS, the state healthcare centers that provide therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitation care to children, utilizing natural and artificial treatments. They function all year round. First children’s health resort centers in Bashkortostan were opened in 1921 in Derevnya Tashly of Sterlitamaksky Canton (Gafuriysky Raion of the RB), in 1927 – Alkino (ref. Tolpar). In 2017 there were 14 children’s health resort centers functioning under the auspices of the Ministry of Healthcare of the RB (Akbuzat, Tolpar, etc) and 18 all‑year health resort camps, including Salyut.

Children’s Pulmonary Resort. Located in Ishimbay. Opened in 1980. Specializes in treatment of children’s (3–7 y.o.) respiratory tract diseases.

Duslyk, a health resort for children, including children with parents. Located in Ufa. Opened in 1973. The centre treats 5–13 y.o. (3–10 y.o. in Mother and Child Department) children with upper and lower respiratory tract, digestive organs, skin (atopic dermatitis, neurodermia) diseases, disorders of the vegetative nervous system and poor posture.

Istok, a children’s health resort. Located in Salavat. Founded in 1959, since 2012 it has been part of the municipal hospital. The centre treats 4–15 y.o. children with vascular organs, upper respiratory tract, nervous and digestive systems diseases.

Krasnousolsky Children’s Health Resort. Located in Selo Kurorta of Gafuriysky Raion of the RB, near Krasnousolsk Health Resort. Opened in 1957. The centre treats 7–14 y.o. children with locomotor, digestive system impairments, skin diseases, etc.

Mechetlinsky Health Resort for children with parents. Located near Selo Bolsheustikinskoye of Mechetlinsky Raion of the RB, near Karagay Health Resort in the pine wood on the bank of the Ik River. Opened in 1944. The centre treats 4–14 y.o. children with chronic ENT‑organs, respiratory tract diseases, as well as bronchitis, respiratory allergies, bronchial asthma, congenital lung defects.

Nur, a neurological children’s health resort. Located in Sterlitamak. Opened in 1993. The centre treats children of all ages up to 15 y.o. and disabled children up to 16 y.o. with nervous system disorders.

Pavlovsky Children’s Health Resort. Located in Selo Pavlovka of Nurimanovsky Raion of the RB, 90 km away from Iglino Railway Station. Opened in 1955. It specializes in treatment of children’s respiratory and digestive systems diseases.

Rostok, a children’s multidisciplinary health resort in Oktyabrsky. Opened in 1963 as cardio‑rheumatology health resort, since 2005 has its current name. The centre treats 4–15 y.o. children with allergies, bone and joint diseases, blood, respiratory, urinary, nervous, digestive, cardiovascular, endocrine systems diseases, congenital anomalies without the motion function impairments.

Sakmar, a health resort for children with parents. Located near Derevnya Yantyshevo of Khaibullinsky Raion of the RB. Opened in 2000. The centre treats 3–15 y.o. children with respiratory and digestive systems diseases. Tally­Kul, a children’s multidisciplinary health resort of Tuymazy Central Raion Hospital. Located near Selo Nizhnetroitskoye of Tuymazinsky Raion of the RB, 40 km away from Tuymazy. Opened in 1975. The centre treats 7–14 y.o. children with respiratory, digestive and nervous system diseases.

Raduga, a children’s health resort. Located in Sterlitamak. Opened in 1961. The centre treats 4–15 y.o. children with digestive and respiratory organs, cardiovascular and nervous, locomotor systems diseases.

Ural, a children’s multidisciplinary health resort. Located in Uchaly. Opened in 2000. The centre treats 7–15 y.o. children with gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system diseases.
