SATTAROV, Fauzi Minnimullovich

SATTAROV, Fauzi Minnimullovich (5.8. 1923, Ufa – 28.7.1996, Ibid.), Ballet Dancer, Choreographer. Merited Artist of RSFSR (1955) and BASSR (1952). After graduating from the Leningrad Choreographic School (1941) worked as a Soloist, between 1967– 76 Head Choreographer, between 1981–88 Choreographer at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre. One of the first Bashkir professional dancers. A performer of lyrically dramatic roles, distinguished of psychological depth, sincerity of feelings and inner temperament. He staged the ballet The Fountain of Bakhchisarai by B.V.Asafyev, Zyugra by N.G. Zhiganov (done jointly with F.A.Gaskarov) and Shurale by F.Z.Yarullin. Sattarov also danced in various operas and musical comedies.
