SAFIN, Timur Marselevich (b.4.8.1992 in Tashkent), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (fencing) of Russia (2016). Awarded with the Order of Friendship, Order of Peoples’ Friendship (both – 2016), Order of Salavat Yulayev, the 1st Class Medal of the Order for Merits to the Fatherland (both – 2021). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (2014). A trainee of the Specialised Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No.19 (Coach – F.Ya.Arslanov) and Republican Sports Boarding School No.5 (both – Ufa; Coaches: L.R.Grushina, R.R.Nasibullin). Bronze (2016) Medalist of the Olympic Games, the Winner of the World Cup (2015), European Champion (2016), Bronze Medalist of the Men’s World Championship (2014); European Champion (2013) among young people; Winner of the World Juniors Singles Championship (2012). The Olympic Champion (2016), Silver Medalist of the Olympic Games (2020) and Winner of the World Cups (2014, 2016), European Champion (2016), Winner of the Men’s European Cup (2013); Winner of the European Youth Team Championship (2013).
