The repertoire included the works of the Bashkir and Russian classical drama, plays about collectivization and industrialization. During the Great Patriotic War, one‑act plays, concerts, social historical dramas and music comedies were staged. Later, in the repertoire there appeared the productions, permeated with the pathos of the revival of the country after the war, labour enthusiasm and heroic drama. The performance of G.F.Sarbayev (Chief Stage Director between 1959—64) Song of Life by M.Amir was distinguished by deep drama, poetics and musicality.

The transfer of the theater to Sibay, the change of the status and renewal of the troupe expanded the themes of the repertoire, enriched the artistic and aesthetic principles of the creative activities of the theater. The works of foreign literature and dramaturgy of the peoples of the USSR appeared in the repertoire. A bright page in the history of the theater was the artistic activity of R.M.Ayupov (Chief Stage Director between 1964—68) whose productions were distinguished by the integrity of the artistic conception and by emotional power. F.G.Galyautdinov (Chief Stage Director in 1949—52, 1967—87) staged the plays of Bashk. playwrights F.V.Bogdanov, G.Iskhakov, N.Gaitbay, etc, who were just the beginners at that time.

In mid. 1970s, the repertoire was supplemented by tragedies (Salavat. Seven Dreams Through Reality by M.Karim), dramas (Zaytungul and White Lilac by N.Asanbayev), comedies (Four Grooms of Dilyafruz by T.G.Minnullin), tragicomedies (I’m Leaving! by R.Hamid), the works of foreign literature (Intrigue and Love by F.Schiller, Daughter of the Ganges after the namesake novel by R.Tagore), etc. The works of L.V.Valeyev (Chief Stage Director between 1987—90) were distinguished by national colour and ideological content, the works of G.M.Ilyasova — by psychological depth.

In the 90s, the plays reflecting social and political changes in the society were staged, as well as the comedies of Bashkir, Tatar and Russian classics, including musical comedy (Svoyachenitsa by B.Bikbay and Z.G.Is magilov; the play was a participant of the Days of the RB in Moscow, 1997). The play Magic Kuray by Z.A.Biisheva was awarded the Grand Prize of the Republican Festival of Performances for Children Kolonsak (Colt; Ufa, 1996).

Since early 2000s, the theatre, following the original national traditions, has enriched its repertoire mainly with the works of modern Bashk. literature. D.M.Galimov (since 1987 Artistic Managing Director, simultaneously until 1998 Director) staged the plays by F.M.Bulyakov (Why Do Girls Cry?, Do You Love — Don’t You Love?, etc), T.Ganiyeva (Tamaris; the prize of the audience at the International Festival of Turkic‑speaking Theaters Tuganlyk, 2000), T.H.Garipova (Song in a Dream, Do Not Fly Away, Cranes!, Tankabika), R.M.Kinzyabayev (Eh, Friend Baitimer..., Fatal Mystery), etc. The tragic ring fills drama Mother’s Justice by A.K.At nabayev, the philosophical ring fills meditative drama White Nights of Akmulla by N.Gaitbay, metaphoricity fills phantasmagoria Runaways Into Happiness by Garipova (all — staged by S.G.Aflyatunov).

The famous actors and Directors are Z.S. Valitov, I.I.Dilmukhametov, M.A.Ma gadeyev, G.Z.Suleymanov, M.H.Hismatullin.
