SITDIKOVA, Adiya Khabibullovna (12.12. 1913, Derevnya Mordva of the Kazan Gub. — 29.5.2000, Ufa), Painter. People’s (1983) and Merited (1973) Artist of the BASSR. Laureate of the BASSR Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1989). The works of S. are mainly executed in the genres of still life and interior style. The utilization of ornaments, the conventionality of space design and colour solutions make her paintings ethnic: On the Eve of the Golden Wedding, Batyr to Be, Bashkir Honey, etc. The poetic element dominates S.’s works. She focuses on the ornaments of the Bashk. embroidery and weaving items, filigree play of lines, calm and majestic rhythms (Still Life with Zhilyanin, Batyr’s Weapon). She worked in the field of unique graphics (pastel).
