SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN

SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN, support provided in order to improve family’s social and financial status through provision of educational, medical, psychological and legal support. Since 1995, it is regulated by the federal law On State Benefits for Citizens with Children, by the RB laws On Protection of Family, Motherhood, Fatherhood and Childhood in the RB (since 1993), On State Support for Families with Many Children in the RB (since 2000), etc.

The executive authorities of Bashkortostan create centers for social support to family and children, psychological and pedagogical counseling, rehabilitation centers for disabled children, adoption, guardianship and tutorship centers, pre‑conception clinics, social shelters and other institutions. The Semya Republican Resource Centre provides social services to the citizens. The Centre was created in Ufa in 1992. Consists of 9 departments of social support to family and children of Arkhangelsky, Blagoveshchensky, Iglinsky, Nurimanovsky, Chishiminsky raions and Ufa. There are departments of social rehabilitation for underage children, women on hardship, social prevention and family follow‑up, etc. The Centre has training rooms, bedrooms, a catering hall, recreation room, sensor room, events hall, medical unit, etc. The Centre provides medical services and realizes additional pre‑school educational programs (Dorogoyu Dobra, Raduga Tvorchestva, etc).
