SOSHNIKOV, Dmitry Yakovlevich [8.11. 1915, Selo Okhlebinino of Ufimsky Uyezd of namesake gub. (Iglinsky Raion of the RB) – 25.10.1985, Ufa], Industrialist. Candidate of Engineering Science (1971). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1966), the 2nd Class Order of the Patriotic War (1944), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1971), Order of the Red Star (1945). Participant in the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Higher School of Food Industry (Moscow, 1955). Since 1946 at the Council of Ministers of the BASSR, since 1949 at the Ministry of State Control of the USSR, between 1951– 53 at the City Committee of the CPSU, since 1955 and between 1962–78 Dir. of the Ufa Vitamin Plant, since 1960 Head of the Administration of Food Industry of the Bashkir Council of National Economy (all – in Ufa). Under the leadership of S., for the first time in the country the production of vitamins B15 and U was initiated.
