THE DANCE THEATRE
THE DANCE THEATRE of the Sterlitamak Philharmonic. Created in 1991. The founder and first art director was H.A.Ishberdin. The repertoire is based on smaller ballet performances, musically choreographed miniatures and dance. The compositions are mainly based on the topics of folklore such as Burzyan horsemen, Insebika, Port Arthur, Bait about the Urals, The Heart of Bashkurt, Saptar, At the walls of the Reichstag, Vasily Tyorkin, as well as Russian, Azerbaijan, Tajik, Tatar, Mari, Chuvash, Ukraine, Chechen, Argentine and others folk dancing. The Dance Theatre toured in Russia and abroad (Belgium, Holland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Uzbekistan, etc). It was the Laureate of the Berdemlek–Sodruzhestvo International Festival of Folk Cultures (Ufa, 2007), as well as the student folk festival (Warfum, the Netherlands; and Shotten, Belgium; both took place in 2006) and other such events.
