TEREGULOV, Shamil Akhmedovich

TEREGULOV, Shamil Akhmedovich (29.8.1947, Ufa – 28.11.2008, Ibid.), Ballet Dancer, Choreographer, Tteacher. Merited Actor of RF (1997); People’s Actor of BASSR (1985). After graduating from the Perm Choreographic College (1967), worked as a Soloist (until 1989), and since 1990 Head Choreographer at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, simulta neously, since 1985, Teacher at the R.Nureyev Bashkir Choreography College. Contributed to the development of choreographic art in Bashkortostan and the whole of Russia. Was a verstatile dancer with a positive temperament. When creating his images, he combined expressive plastique with acting skills. In the performances done by the dancer on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, he continued the best traditions of the Fatherland’s ballet school. He also organized ballets in the Republic of Buryatia, as well as in Kazakhstan, Turkey and Japan. Among his students was V.Rykin. T. was one of the organizers and art directors of the R.Nureyev International Festival of Ballet Art.
