TIMERBULATOV, Vil Mamilovich [b.1.6.1952 in Derevnya Isheyevo of Makarovsky Raion of the BASSR (Ishimbaysky Raion of the RB)], Surgeon. Associate Member of the RAS (2014) RAMS (2005), Acad. of the AS RB (2009), Dr.Sci (Medical Sciences) (1989), Full Professor (1991). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (1999), Merited Doctor of the RF (2005) and RB (1991), Excellent Worker of Public Health of the RF (2004), Inventor of the USSR (1989). Awarded with the Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2012), Order of Peoples’ Friendship (2012), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2007). After graduation from the BSMI (1975) worked in municipal hospitals in the BASSR. Since 1982, worked in BSMU (between 1994–2011 as Rector), simultaneously, between 1991–94 Head Surgeon of the Ministry of Healthcare of the RB, since 1993 Head of the Republican Endoscopic Centre, between 1995–2003 Chairman of the Committee of the House of Representatives of the State Assembly – the Kurultay of the RB for education, science, sports, tourism and youth affairs, since 2008 Academic Secretary of the Department of Medical Sciences of the AS RB. His scientific research is dedicated to issues of abdominal surgery, coloproctology, surgical infections, development of diagnostic methods, complex therapy and rehabilitation for patients suffering from gallstone disease, bowel obstruction, etc. Deputy of the 1–4th Sessions of the State Assembly – the Kurultay of the RB.
