STERLITAMAK COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL CULTURE, MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE, founded in Ufa in 1932 as Department of Physical Culture of Bashk. Pedagogical Tekhnikum in Ufa. Since 1934 — Tekhnikum of Physical Culture, since 1955 — Bashk. Republ. Tekhnikum of Physical Culture. Since 1971, it was transferred to Sterlitamak. Since 1974 — Sterlitamak Tekhnikum of Physical Culture, since 2015 — the current name and status. Training is available at full-time or distant learning departments and covers the following fields: adaptive physical culture, law and social security, tourism, physical culture and advertising. More than 10 thous. specialists have been trained there by 2018. The Tekhnikum’s building is an architectural monument. On it, there is a commemorative tablet in honour of the Commissar of Education of Sterlitamak Rev. Committee, G.R.Abdrashitov (1994). During the Great Patriotic War, a military hospital was located in the premises.
