SULEYMANOV, Sharif Sulyeymanovich [13.10.1920, Derevnya Novyi Kainlyk of Birsky Uyezd of Ufa Gub. (Krasnokamsky Raion of the RB) — 12.2.1994, Ufa], Statesman. Hero of the Soviet Union (1943). Graduated from the Senior Officers Advanced Courses (1941), Higher Financial Courses (Leningrad, 1948) and All-Union Legal Correspondence Institute (Moscow, 1955). Since 1937, worked as a financial inspector in Chekmagushevsky Raion of the BASSR. In the Red Army between 1939—45. Commander of the 1st Battery of the 1959th Fighter Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment of the 41st Separate Fighter Brigade of the 65th Army, Captain S. was Awarded the title of Hero for the courage shown in the battles of 18—19th November, 1943, near Derevnya Korovatichi of the Belorus.
