SUTYAGIN, Alexander Vasilyevich
SUTYAGIN, Alexander Vasilyevich (12.8. 1915, Posyolok Magnitniy of Verkhneuralsky Uyezd of Orenburg Gub. — 10.1.1991, Leningrad, buried in Ufa), Singer (lyrical and drama baritone). People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1955) and BASSR (1949), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1954) and BASSR (1946). Graduated from the Bashk. Musical School (1936), Bashk. Studio at Moscow Conservatory (1943). Since 1941, he was a Soloist at Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, between 1957— 75 — a Soloist at the Maly Opera and Ballet Theatre (Leningrad). He possessed a strong beautiful voice of rich timbre, perfect diction, colourful stage appearance; his performing art was distinguished by excellent acting skill.
