SUKHOV, Vladimir Pavlovich (11.2. 1934, Rabochy Posyolok Elektrostal of Moscow Obl. — 26.2.2016, Ufa), Geologist, Educationist. Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1969), Dr. of Education (2005). Merited Teacher of the RB (1992), Excellent Worker of Public Education of the RSFSR (1988). After graduating from the LSU (1957), he worked at the Krasnoyarsk Geological Directorate. Between 1961—63 — in the geological surveying unit of the West- Bashkir Complex Geological Expedition of the Bashkir Territorial Geological Directorate; since 1966 — at the Institute of Geology, since 1974 — at the BSPU. Scientific research is dedicated to Paleogeography of Cenozoic Bashkir Pre-Urals and to the methods of teaching Geography. S. developed the methods of developmental teaching in middle school classes.
