UFIMSKAYA, state stud stable. Located in Ufa. Specializes in breeding and growing pedigree horses (the Bashkir horse, Orlovsky and Russian trotter, Russian draft, Thoroughbred and Standardbred breeds), improvement of horse breeds and reproduction qualities in the RB, assistance to agricultural businesses, kumys manufacture. Established in 1846 as Ufa Mating Stable of the Orenburg Gub. Stud Farm; since 1922 has its current name, since 2002 — current status. It comprises: auxiliary kumys manufacturing units in Derevnya Zagorsky of Ufimsky Raion, a unit for breeding and growing horses of Bashkir breed in Derevnya Ishimovo of Mishkinsky Raion (more than 130 heads; 2013). The headcount of horses is 344, incl. the Bashkir breed — 284, Orlovsky — 23, Russian Trotter — 8, Russian Draft — 11, Thoroughbred — 16, Standardbred — 2; 195 Cwts of kumys has been produced (2016). U. was awarded with silver medals and diplomas of the Golden Autumn, Russian agricultural industry exhibition (Moscow, 2007—13). There are 29 employees (2016).
