UFA INSTRUMENT-MAKING PRODUCTION ASSOCIATION, OAO. Manufactures aviation and space equipment, actuating equipment for valves of pipeline transport, automation equipment and control systems, etc. It was put into operation in 1956 as State Union Plant No.123 (PO No.40), since 1966 Ufa Instrument‑Making Plant, since 1989 Ufa Instrument‑Making Association, since 1996 has its current name. In 1958 the fabrication of autopilots was mastered, in 1962 – on‑board computational equipment and flight simulators, instrument equipment for spaceships of Cosmos and Vostok series, since 1966 – Analog‑1 and EDVM products, in 1999– on‑board devices for transport ships of Soyuz‑TMA and Progress‑M series. Laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Award (1982). Awarded with the Badge of Honour (1976).
