KHAZIYEV, Fangat Khamatovich (b.27.4.1936, Derevnya Yalangachevo of Baltachevsky Raion of the BASSR), Soil Researcher, Agrochemist and Agroecologist. Associate Member of the AS RB (1991), Dr.Nat.Sci. (Biological Sciences) (1983), Full Professor (1989). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (1997) and the BASSR (1985). Laureate of the RB State Award in Science and Technology (2001), etc. Awarded with the Order of Salavat Yulayev (2016). Graduated from the Kazan University (1960). Since 1963, he worked in Ufa Biology Institute, simultaneously between 1984–92 – as Dir. for Science, between 1995–2006 – as Academic Secretary of Department of Biology Sciences of the AS RB. He researched humus, nitrogen, phosphate conditions of soils, dynamics of their properties after agricultural use, melioration, technogeneous pollution and land recultivation. Kh. developed concepts and norms of ecologic optimization of agriculture systems, methods of recultivation of oil‑contaminated soils. Has contributed greatly to the development of soil science in the RB. Took part in the creation of soils (1990) and erosed soils (1995) maps of Bashkortostan.
