KHALIKOV, Gabdulkhak Abzalilovich [9.2.1931, Kurmantau of Krasnousolsky Raion of the BASSR (now Gafuriysky Raion of the RB) – 30.9.2007, Ufa), Mechanical Engineer. Associate Member of the AS RB (1991), Dr. of Engineering (1971), Full Professor (1972). Merited Scientist of the BASSR (1979). Graduated from the UPI (1956) and the Udmurt University (Izhevsk, 1979). In 1956–57 worked in the oil field department “Oktyabrskneft”. Since 1973 (intermittently) worked at BSU. His research activity was dedicated to the heat and mass transfer theory, environmental problems and comprehensive exploration of mineral resources. Kh. has developed approximate methods of solving parabolic equations in the areas with a moving boundary and quasi‑linear heat transfer equations; models of gas hydrate dissociation, local oil degassing in reservoirs; discovered local quasi‑potential fields of the Earth and the quasi‑potential superposition property.
